Baza for Windows
Baza for Windows is a desktop application: it opens Baza in its own window, like regular software, instead of a browser tab. Inside, it is the same app as on your phone, adapted to the big screen.
Two files are available: an installer, which adds Baza to the Start menu, and a standalone portable executable, which runs without installing anything. Both work on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

Baza is a service strictly reserved for adults (18 years or older).
Files, sizes and checksums
Verify the SHA-256 checksum after downloading to make sure the file is intact. On Windows, open PowerShell and type: Get-FileHash path\to\file.exe -Algorithm SHA256.

Compatibility and how it works
Baza for Windows uses WebView2, the web rendering engine shipped with Microsoft Edge. It is already installed on almost every up-to-date Windows 10 and 11 PC; no .NET installation is required, everything needed is included in the file.
The window opens the official app.baza.fr in desktop mode. Your data is that of your Baza account, exactly as on your phone. No secret is stored inside the program.
External links open in your usual browser. Requests for notifications, location, camera or microphone are never forced: Windows and WebView2 ask you, and you decide.
Install Baza, step by step
-
1. Download
Click “Download the installer” (recommended) or the portable version. The file lands in your Downloads folder.
-
2. Open the file
Double-click the downloaded .exe file.
-
3. Windows SmartScreen warning
Because the file is not signed, Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. This is expected as long as the app is unsigned.
-
4. Install
The installer installs for your account, without an administrator password. Choose whether you want a Desktop shortcut (offered, never forced), then let the installation finish.
-
5. Launch Baza
Open Baza from the Start menu (or the Desktop shortcut). The window opens on your app. The portable version simply launches by double-clicking Baza.exe.
-
6. Allow only if you want to
If you want message notifications or nearby profiles, Windows will ask for your consent. Nothing is enabled without your agreement, and your exact location is never shown.
-
7. Uninstall
To remove Baza: Windows Settings › Apps › Baza › Uninstall. The portable version is removed simply by deleting the Baza.exe file.
Signing and distribution: what you should know
These files are not yet signed with a publisher certificate. Windows SmartScreen therefore shows a warning on first launch: this is the expected behaviour for unsigned software, and is not in itself proof that the file is safe. Only run it if you downloaded it from this official page (baza.fr) and, if in doubt, verify its SHA-256 fingerprint shown above before opening it.
Never run a “Baza” file received by message, by e-mail or from another website: the only official source is this page. If in doubt, verify the SHA-256 checksum shown above.
Code signing (and, in time, distribution through the Microsoft Store) is planned. Until then, this version remains a test application, honest about its limits.
Help and safety
Baza never shows your exact location: only an approximate distance may appear, and only if you agreed to share your location. Your conversations stay private.
If you have any doubt about a file or any question, use the site’s Contact page. Never install Baza from an unofficial source.
